in the role as a youth developer and as an educational mentor where does one create a line? Teachers have many roles, educator, guidance counselor and they are to intellectually challenge. If material is "too good" bc it is believable and gruesome - wouldnt that mean it is just a good writer? I guess this is awkward on my part, but if you are a great killer wouldn't that be your strenght and not writing? To write well, takes time and artful craft - part of me was frustrated that this point wasn't considered. So the person wrote in eloquent believable script about groteque and offensive topics, ok, but the point is that the person WROTE. I guess I just see the talent of writing not being synonymous (sp?) with physical violent action. Yes, the pen is mightier than the sword. that is a metaphor - not a literal diary for one's actions. ok - i am turning in circles here - too much medicine and restlessness. thanks for sharing joe!
